In this quote Alexander says a promise should never be broken. I believe in that. People shouldn’t break promises because when they break a promise they are not only breaking that promise they are losing someone's trust and respect. In life the things that matter most are trust and respect and if you have none for yourself then no one will have that for you. The reason trust and respect is so important is because people need to have faith in another person for everything. For example, if you go in for a job interview and you and this loyal honest person are competing most likely you won't get the job, Especially if you're not a honest and respectable person. Being honest and respectable can help a person in many ways not just in jobs but in relationships to. If your promise your partner anything you must keep that promise because if you don't you show that you're a liar. No one wants to be in a relationship with someone who is rude, unfaithful, unhonest and someone who won’t respect them.

I don’t think i would like to become one because i'm not good under pressure or watching over people without getting mad or annoyed. I also don’t have a steady hand so i would most likely really hurt someone.

Smith tries to says in this quote that things that are bad shouldn’t be popular and things that are good should be. For example, Nowadays people love doing what they think is popular. In modern day society what's popular is unhealthy and unsafe. Teens love smoking and they love drinking and staying out late. All because it is popular and almost all kids do it. What they should be doing is helping their parents out and they should be having good grades and being polite. Nowadays the popular kids think its “wack” or “uncool”. When really all the things they do is eventually gonna catch up to them and make them regret ever doing the things they did.

Another example can be that when you try and follow the cool kids you're not really becoming yourself. You're just becoming another one of them. Lets say im a 14 year old girl about to start high school. If i get invited to a party and they offer me drugs there i have 3 choices. Stay with my friends and refuse. Accept and become one of their new drug buddies. Or i can decline and call a parent to come and take me home. Everyone has a choice. What most High School Students don’t think of is that people in HS think popularity is everything, when really it's nothing. You can be in a sport and become popular. There is no need for making bad choices.

Chiropractors have always seemed really cool to me. They get to crack bones and make people feel better at the same time.I don’t see why i shouldn’t think about this career pathway.

Past President Lincoln was always a kind honest man and he stood up for what he believed in. Nowadays people don’t do that as much. People want to be popular, cool or a rebel. They want to do drugs to escape reality and they want to part the night away because they believe they only live once. People think if you do something that someone else thinks is cool that it's right when in reality it's only wrong. Everyone falls under the spell of society. They won't stand for what they believe in because they have nothing to believe in. People need to understand that there are wrong things and there are right choices. There is no middle. Although now are still people who fight for what they believe in they are slowly dying out. We need more people like Abe because in the future we will officially be under the influence of someone else's mind. Someone who manipulates us and shows us that all these bad choices we make will soon pay off. NEwsflash they won’t they only come to bit u in the butt.

History

History

Something that interests me is History. History has always been interesting for me even though i can almost never remember the dates. I love to think about how far humanity has come. We used to fight wars with swords horses and homemade bombs. Now we fight wars with guns and grenades.

Personally i like the thought of swards and actual fighting. Others might disagree because it's more painful but, it's only painful if you actually get hurt. When Bunker Hill was fought or any other battle or war was fought we fought as one. Now it's almost everyman for himself because they rather someone else spill blood than their own.

Technology had advanced but as people we only get worse. History shows us that the church used to be corrupt but it was never really the church it was just us. We took faith and made it ugly just so that we can get away with doing wrong. Now a days people will steal from a blind person and all we would do is record and say how messed up it is.

Another thing i like about history is if you know it well enough then you can stop it from repeating itself. For example, I feel as though Donald Trump is related to Hitler. They believe in the same thing. All they want is the white people no one else. When he starts riots at his conferences or when he disrespects a race it doesn't exactly show leadership.

What's gonna happen when he has to sign a peace treaty with another country? He thinks it's a game but this is way bigger than him and all his money. When he kicks us all out of our homes and America goes into Depression then let's see if the white people can handle there own. Just like they stereotype us we can do the exact same. There is only one difference between us and the white people. We are better. We have culture. What's gonna happen to the tourism? The trade? Most of the population will be gone. Also last time i checked Donald trump wasn't even full American. Neither were any of his wife's.

History is gonna repeat itself and by the time everyone opens their eyes it's gonna be too late.

   I believe this quote means that hard work can never become anything bad unless the thing you’re working towards is wrong.  By wrong i mean that if you’re working towards being the best drug dealer then it's inevitable that you’re gonna be in trouble. Although if you're working to be something like a detective that's different. People should want to be the ones who help others and lock the bad ones away.

   For example, when i was little i never understood jails. A jail to me was just a place where people took long rest to think about what they’ve done. So in other words a time out. Now that i'm older i can see what its for. It’s practically to banish people from society so that society can live in peace. If what you’ve done is bad enough they might even put you on death row. Those who kill are killed so that others can see it's wrong. What people don’t notice is that when your banished you give them time for clarity in what they’ve done wrong. Some aren't like others. Others Want to retaliate. If you work towards the wrong goal not only might you end up in jail but you might end up hurting those around you and your reputation.

If you work towards a good goal there is still a chance someone might want to hurt you out of jealousy. But it it were me then i would rather take that chance than being a nobody or someone that is on everyone's target. Good goals and hard work is all you need to become great,.

The right choices can be anything from Going to sleep early and doing your assignments on time to turning down drugs from a friend. If you hang out with the wrong crowd not only will you tarnish your name but you will most likely because a bad person who makes bad decisions. Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not? I don’t think i could ever become a surgeon even though i do admire them. I don’t have steady hands, i hate seeing blood and i can’t have the thought of cutting someone open in my mind haunt me at night.

George Chapman reveals that no matter what if people think you're a good person but you know you're not then other people’s opinion don’t matter. For example you can be well know and have a great reputation but that isn't good for anything if secretly you are a horrible person. You can be nice to the people that matter and horrible to the people who seem irrelevant but then in the long run all those bad things you do will catch up to you. People talk and words get around thats why it’s always important to be a nice kind person. That leads to my conclusion. You have no need to worry if your a great person. It is correct that many people do cheat. Many think that it's okay if no one knows because they don't think of any repercussions. Some people think if i get away with this then it will be like i actually didn't cheat. Those types of people are not only cheating but lying. To themselves and others. For example, if i am taking a test i didn't study for and i'm panicked i rather take a re-test then copy of the person next to me. The reasons behind that are because what if they get it wrong, what if i get caught, what if their copying off of someone else. The repercussions could be that of expulsion, name calling, detention, suspension, community service etc. Although you can always be honest. Another example is , if you're playing a sport and making so much fouls that aren't called for and get away with it. The ref isn't the only one who see’s what's happening on the field. You might be known for what you did. You also made your team look bad and there are 2 choice you may have. You can go to the ref and fess up or you can win the game and still cheat everyone out for what they worked for.
