This quote doesn't have to mean someone will take care of you. This quote is meaning to say that no matter what if you are a good person and do the right things almost nothing can go wrong. Not only will people like you but they will admire you. Although some people might say they don't like goody goodies, you can always kill them with kindness. Sometime's people don't always make the right choices and those choices can hurt others. If you hurt others you maybe won't be liked as much. If you live the right way and do the right thing others will notice. You will be admired. Last but not least people will always be on your side because if they know you , the real you then they know you're a good person. The best thing about being a good person is that you might never have to have confrontation with someone. Although there is always that one person trying to start fight, but since your a good person someone will always help you get out of that situation.

This quote is meaning to tell us that in order to be succesfull you need to know where and what you want to do.

Glasgow uses Football as an example. If the team just goes on the feild and doesn't know where the goal is then they will never sucseed at winning. You can't go out on the feild blind. You need to know the plan and if that plan fails you need a back up.

Another example is when you're doing nothing. obviously when you're doing nothing you have no goals, no plans. If you do nothing with you're life then you'll end up no where. in order to survive you need to be doing something. Goals up us with that because the more goals we set and accoplish the closer we are to becoming great. Every person who has money or is rich has some talent. Talent doesn't always have to be included with acting or music. A talent can be anything you have a passion for. Some people have accomplished so much that they don't ever have to work again, but they do. They work because most of the time the goal isnt just about the money. Its about what you're doing to earn that money.

This quote is meaning to tell us that if we are good people not only might we live a long happy life but that its only fair to do so.

For example, lets say your a young adult in college. Many college guys don't act like adults till they need to do something for themselves. Like pay their dues or pay bills of some kind. A lot take there parents for granted and sadly a lot of them almost never grow up. Even after they have kids they might go out every other day. This kind of person used to drink and smoke with his friends because it got them loose and stress free. Now they cant get away from that life. Being a party person is kind of like an addiction for some people. At first its just 1 party, then its tolerance, dependence and finally addiction. Not only does this person hurt themselves and their body but they also hurt there loved ones. Now their kids/girlfriend/wife/parents are worried and since he has already damaged his body from making bad choices he doesn't really care.

Now there is another type of person. A girl. Someone who study's, has 2 jobs to help out her family and pay off college tuition. Now she likes being social but never goes to huge parties because she knows the dangers. This type of person is smart and knows what shes doing. Person A had no clue and became a bad person while person B is getting her life together and deserves all the happiness she gets.

     This quote shows that not everything that is popular now a days is the right thing to do. For example, Back in the days girls showed almost no skin. No a days almost every girl is wearing crop tops and booty shorts. Girls from then would frown apron the girls now because in a way they are disrespecting themselves and showing guys that they don't have that much self-respect. When a guy see's a girl with low self-respect that's a perfect moment to take advantage of them. Although girls don't do it because they have low self-respect. They do it so they won't stick out from the crowed. They do it because everyone else is doing it.

     Another example is with drugs and addiction. Many people who have never done drugs before almost always try it once in a party so that they won't seem "uncool' or "not down". The only reason they try it is to fit in because for some people being different is hard. The reason it might be hard is because they might have no social life or because everyone might make fun of them because they don't do what everyone else does.

A Choice: Poverty or Prosperity

" I hated poverty. Poverty is more of a choice than anything else, and I can change that(poverty). It depends upon how hard i want to work, and i decided that i would change it." -Dr. Ben Carson 

This statement is showing that it doesn't matter what situation your in, money should never be a problem. A person who is always broke is broke for a reason. Whether its because they don't have a job or they always spend there money. Maybe its because they are a single parent and have to feed and bath their children. What ever case it is you don't need to live in poverty. You can get another job maybe one that pays better.Get your GED or go back to college and make more money. There is always a choice and there is always another way around poverty. Especially if you want you kids to be happy and have everything they want in life. For example, people don't just wind up living in poverty. There is a chain of events that lead them up to where they are. Although, you can always break out of poverty with the right choices. All you need to be willing to do is put in some hard work.

Presidents  Day

     Presidents day takes place every year in the United States and is always the 3rd Monday in the February calendar. Presidents day was originally just for George Washington, our first president. It is still officially called "Washington's Birthday" by the Federal Government. Presidents day was also another attempt to give the nation's workers more 3 day weekends. After George Washington's reign was over other presidents  such as Abraham Lincoln started becoming popular as well. So then they decided to not only celebrate Washington but also the rest of the presidents as well. 

      Some ways we celebrate Presidents day now is by staging reenactments, celebrating, and teaching others of the historical events. Most people celebrate Washington and Lincoln because they are the ones who shaped this nation to what is is today. Of course the others did take part in the shaping of the U.S. but not as much as them.Washington was our first president and Lincoln was the man who freed all slaves.

I believe in the words that Dr. Peale is saying. I believe it because as long as you show some interest in something you almost never fail. For example, I tried out for the volleyball team at LMHS at the end of my 8th grade year. I got in not only because i tried. I got in because I had experience and i wanted to be there. As long as you try and show interest almost nothing goes wrong. 

On the other hand if your not enthusiastic and you just really don't care, you are most likely to fail. The reason you fail is not because your bad at something or inexperienced. Its because you lack motivation. If you have the motivation or that enthusiasm then you are more likely to succeed. Someone who doesn't want to be there or someone who is doing it just to make some sort of profit has already failed. You need to try in order to succeed because things don't get handed to you.

Career Pathways College Professor 

Duties and Responsibilities:History professors create lesson plans, lecture students and proctor exams. In addition to their teaching responsibilities, history professors research historical subjects and might be required to publish scholarly papers, articles and books.

Salary:68,970 USD
Education: Bachelors Degree in History. The minimum education requirement for a history professor is a master's degree with a concentration in history. A doctorate is usually required for tenure-track positions. Many postgraduate students also serve as teaching assistants while completing graduate school.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why or Why not?

I believe that i would like to be a college professor because i would get to teach young adults and i wouldn't have to be stuck with little kids. Another reason is because i would always want to teacher the other kids things that i already knew. Besides of i become a College Professor i would be doing something i like.
