Hobbies

My hobbies include sleeping, eating, and going out. I am not the most interesting person i am not the funniest but i have my moments. I love going to our gladiator games especially our Football games. I love watching Football games period. My favorite NFL  team would have to be the 49ers. Its all about the ninernation. Even though my Dad goes for the dolphins.

I also enjoy playing volleyball. I tried out for our schools team and made it all the way......then i quite. I decided that my first year of high school i would focus only on my studies yet everyday after school i take my sisters to the park with my best friend Charisma and i teach them all i have learned over the past 4 years. I love playing volleyball because it a game that everyone can play in my family. My uncle is a coach for volleyball. All my cousins are on there high school team and my younger siblings are starting to lean because i have been trying to teach them.

The rest of my life revolves around my family. No matter how much i want to go out of the house i almost always turn down my friend so that i can go out and have some family time. The thing i love about my best friend Charisma is that since i hate going out she would come to my own house and bring me food and just stay with me. The thing i love about my other best friend named Matthew Is that he always talking to me and is just so open about everything. They thing i love most that they both have in common is that no matter what time what day or whatever we are going through we will always be there for each other and defend one another.

Psychiatrists

Duties and Responsibilities: 
          Psychiatrists are physicians who specialize in the problems of mental illness. As a psychiatrist, they are license to use a wide variety of treatments and may write prescriptions. Psychiatrists may work for the government, have their oven private practice, or work in hospitals, clinics, or university's. Their duties include:

• Designing treatment programs.
• Conducting psychotherapy sessions.
• Prescribing potent mental illness drugs.
• Supervising electro-therapy treatments.
• Conducts research.
• Leading a team of mental health care providers.

Average Salary: $90,000-$200,000

Educational Requirements:  Bachelors, Masters, PH.D. Degrees 
          In addition to completing the requirements for a degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine, psychiatrists must complete an intensive three year residency in psychiatry.



Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why or Why not?
          I believe that i would consider being a psychiatrists. I listen to peoples problems and thought and get paid. I already do that now but for free. Besides Ive always been good with helping people emotionally. 

                                        
          

Ophthalmologist

Duties and Responsibilities: 
          Ophthalmologist are physicians who specialize in the treatment of eye disorders and disease. They treat vision problems and write prescriptions for both pharmaceuticals and corrective glass lenses. When necessary, they preform eye surgery. Most ophthalmologist are in private practice, however some are employed by hospitals or clinics, and others preform research.

Average Salary:  $90,000- $150,000

Educational Requirements:  
          Only physicians may study to become and ophthalmologist. After completing medical school and a internship, an ophthalmologist must then complete a three to five year residency in an approved ophthalmology program. After completing their residency program they must pass an examination to be certified.

     

Reflection: I don't believe i could ever be in this position. I can't because of my hands. It seems like you need to have a steady hand to become an ophthalmologist and i have a really twitchy hand. Most likely if i do surgery on someones eye i will mess up their vision forever and maybe even poke heir eye out.

Optician

Duties and Responsibilities: A Dispensing optician is trained to dispense and fit glasses and any other optical aid. A optician works from the prescriptions written by a optometrists and ophthalmologists. An optician may also give advice to the patient such as, frames, color, and weight. The role requires experience with technical equipment and good customer skills.

Salary: $3,770

Education: High School diploma with on-the-top training or apprenticeship; or certificate, associates degree or bachelor's degree in optician for career advancement.

Reflection: I don't think i would ever want to become a optician. I am more of a independent person so i don't have that much social skills. Even if i developed over the years I'm not good with any styles and i hate glasses because since i have bad eye sight i have to wear them myself. If i could choose i wouldn't want glasses or contacts so why would i put someone else through what i hated.

Acupuncture

 Duties and Responsibilities: Acupuncturists are traditional Chinese medical practiced for more than 5,000 years, involves inserting needles at points on the body’s surface to influence physiological functions. Acupuncture practioners treat world wide range of physical and psychological conditions and provide support for patients with chronic diseases.

Salary: $46-49k

Education: Master’s degree or post-baccalaureate certificate from an accredited program. Most states require licensing, and requirements vary.

I don’t think I can ever have this career choice. First of all I’m scared of needles I can’t handle something going through my skin or putting something threw someone else’s skin. Second of all I most likely would do it wrong because of all the different points on the body. I have bad memory.
