Volunteer Opportunities.

There are many volunteer opportunities. Such as:
1) Pet Shelters
2) Hospitals
3) After School Programs
4) Helping out a Coach or Teacher
5) Babysit kids while their parents are at work
6) Help out Parent Centers at Schools
7) Feed the Homeless
8) Help get Donations of food for a Food Drive
9) Christmas Toy Drive for those who can't afford presents
10) Help at a Retirement Center

Personal I volunteer helping a volleyball coach at Henry T. Gage Middle School located on Gage and Miles in Huntington park Cali 90255. Although i already Volunteer all those ideas listed are great ideas. If you help a pet shelter you can learn more about animals and get a look at there medicine. You might even have an advantage if you ever want to become a vet. By helping out hospitals you are close with doctors and nurses and that might help out if your a doctor. You might learn bed side manners, appropriate diagnoses name and get to take a closer look at medicine.

Helping out a coach or teacher is sort of different then helping out centers that help others. When helping a teacher most of the time you will be doing there errands and grading papers. When helping a coach sometimes you have to be a bad guy and make the kids follow instructions. Some kids just need a harder push then others when it comes down to sports. For example, I once asked the whole JV volleyball team at Gage to get in ready position (squat down). One girl didn't follow instructions and i asked her in a nice way again and she didn't listen. So i explained why we squat as a ready position and its to make us faster. As i asked the whole team one more time she just left the court. Sometimes trying to encourage a person doesn't always work as planned.

Helping the homeless out and doing Donation Drives for those in need might be the best options though. I suggest never do it alone because no one ever really knows what a person is capable of. I suggested helping them out because some of these people on the streets have kids to and some runways and need the help. Although others might not, some are out on the street because they have drug or alcohol addictions. There will always be great Volunteering Opportunities.
