Memorial Day

Memorial Day

Memorial Day is the last Monday of every May. It is a day dedicated to honoring all men and women who have served in the U.S military. At first it wasn’t called Memorial Day it was known as Decoration Day. ever since 1971 it was made to be a U.S official federal holiday. What some people don’t know is that it's also the beginning of summer.
Some ways to honor this U.S holiday is visiting the grave site where all our military veterans have passed. Or if you have family in the military that has passed or currently deployed throw a little fest in there name. Others might go to concerts, parades, or other family gatherings.
The Civil War claimed more lives than any other conflict in history and should always be remembered with this celebration. It shows honor to them and respect to the families of all those whom we lost.
