In this quote Alexander says a promise should never be broken. I believe in that. People shouldn’t break promises because when they break a promise they are not only breaking that promise they are losing someone's trust and respect. In life the things that matter most are trust and respect and if you have none for yourself then no one will have that for you. The reason trust and respect is so important is because people need to have faith in another person for everything. For example, if you go in for a job interview and you and this loyal honest person are competing most likely you won't get the job, Especially if you're not a honest and respectable person. Being honest and respectable can help a person in many ways not just in jobs but in relationships to. If your promise your partner anything you must keep that promise because if you don't you show that you're a liar. No one wants to be in a relationship with someone who is rude, unfaithful, unhonest and someone who won’t respect them.

           I believe this Quote is trying to inspire us into doing the right thing. I believe Marcus wants us to make the right choices because so many people have made bad choices. I also believe he wants us to be honest at all time.

          Honesty is the key to many things. For example, If you steal or or lie is that being honest? No. When you lie you not only lie to another but you lie to yourself. In some cases a person might lie so much and so good that they start to believe their own lies. If I we're to lie to my parent and get caught i could lose so much. Many people could lose so much. If you lie to your boss, you can lose you job. If you lie to your doctor you might lose your life. And If you lie to your family you might not have anything left.

          Its all about being a good person. Someone who is nice to others. Some people can't lie at all because they know better and for others that all they do. If you don't do the right think and spread words that aren't true you'll be left with nothing. Especially if the lie is so big its unforgivable. In that case you can no chance to redeem yourself.
