                     This quote shows that you should always be a good influence on your friends and encourage them to always do the right thing even if it's not always easy. By saying "Have the moral courage to be a light for others to follow." , Monson is encouraging us to be so good that our peers will see us as a good influence. The good influence that they would want to follow. If you are a good influence to your peers then you will have this certain confidence on yourself.                                                                                                                                                                     Not only will you have confidence in yourself but others will have confidence in you as well. This type of confidence will not come easy though. It will never come easy but it will always be rewarding. The reward is faith, many people will have faith in you just like you will hopefully have faith in yourself to do the right thing. For example, If you become an out standing student always to your work and always being obedient then you will have advantages that others don't. Although if you don't behave and start going down the wrong path people will soon lose faith in you and after a while you will start to lose faith in yourself.

      This student success statement infers that when you set goals the only thing that will bother you is if you don't reach it. This means that if your goal is to be obedient the only that will or could ever stop you from reaching your goal is yourself. For example, If obedience was my goal the way to accomplish it would be easy.



     I also believe this quote means if you believe in your goals and believe in yourself you can achieve absolute anything. For example my goal is not only obedience my goal is to become successful and move out of the united states after i complete my 4 years of college. If you are determined enough you can make anything happen even though there might be some bumps in the road. The "stumbling blocks" is a symbol meaning no matter what goal you have it will never go as planned there will always be changes and you sometimes might even change your goals either to something more difficult or something less difficult. The "building blocks" are a symbol meaning that even though you might have struggles you can always build back up to your goals whatever they may be.



   Setting a goal is never easy it never will be. What ever your goal may be there will be difficult but no matter what you shall not give up. If you give up your goals then you will have nothing to work for and life would be boring. Life without goals is a sad life. If you have no goals in your life then you will never know if your doing good or bad. No one else will either because you'll be neutral and not have any purpose whats so ever to improve your life or yourself...

I believe this quote is meaning to apply to school. Without a good education you will never get anywhere in life. If you are disobedient in school yet always attend all your work will be for nothing. That's if you decide to do work. Being disobedient in school is a poor choice because if you don't follow rules, never complete assignments, and never complete homework you would be wasting someones time and interrupting the time for people who value and cherish their education. If you don't have a proper education you will not graduate high school. If you do not graduate high school most likely you will not get into college. If you do not have a college career then you will never get a stable job that can help you support yourself for the rest of your life. And also, if you don't have a stable job then you will worry way to much and that would put a strain on your health. Yet all of these factors can be avoided if you be obedient in school and continue your education.

I believe that this quote means that the central as in center of everything is obedience . Obedience makes everyone happier. It makes people happy because if you are obedient and follow the rules most likely you will pick the right friends to help you out and friends that will stay with you because you'll bring out the best in each other.
