This quote shows that the right thing is always the answer. There will one day be a choice we must make and we will have to put a lot of thought into it. Not only because it's important but because we must make the right choice.The right choice is sometime the hardest choice. But sometimes the hardest choice is the wisest. For example, let's say you're playing tug of war. The rope is the choices and you opponent is the bad choice. You don't always have to win. Because after that tug of war your hands are gonna be in pain and sometimes the best thing is to let go. Sometime you don’t even have to make a choice. Not making a choice is an optional to. Not all the time but most.

I believe Knox is trying to say that doing the right thing is always the right and good thing to do. I believe in this quote because doing the wrong thing can never be good. A person will always end up hurt. Either it's their feelings that get hurt or its them physically. For example, Let's say a friend was hurt because the guy she liked doesn’t like her back. You hate seeing her hurt so you lie and say that he does. What good can come from that lie? Nothing because she's gonna get happy for a while and then she will get hurt even more and embarrassed when she finds out the truth. That situation can go 2 ways. You can lie or you can comfort her and help her get over him. The 2nd choice is obviously better because time heals all wounds. Physical and emotional.

In this quote Alexander says a promise should never be broken. I believe in that. People shouldn’t break promises because when they break a promise they are not only breaking that promise they are losing someone's trust and respect. In life the things that matter most are trust and respect and if you have none for yourself then no one will have that for you. The reason trust and respect is so important is because people need to have faith in another person for everything. For example, if you go in for a job interview and you and this loyal honest person are competing most likely you won't get the job, Especially if you're not a honest and respectable person. Being honest and respectable can help a person in many ways not just in jobs but in relationships to. If your promise your partner anything you must keep that promise because if you don't you show that you're a liar. No one wants to be in a relationship with someone who is rude, unfaithful, unhonest and someone who won’t respect them.

This quote shows that when a person invest in something there are always taking a chance. It’s a chance that they are risking a lot on and they won’t even know the outcome. Investments usually come from or are for companies. When you invest in a company and it succeeded then you get some of the shares. However if that company flops you are left with nothing. You can invest in other things as well. Such as, people, houses or games. The best investment out there though is goodness. When you invest in someone that is good or you invest in something that comes from kindness and is good it never fails. Not once.

Smith tries to says in this quote that things that are bad shouldn’t be popular and things that are good should be. For example, Nowadays people love doing what they think is popular. In modern day society what's popular is unhealthy and unsafe. Teens love smoking and they love drinking and staying out late. All because it is popular and almost all kids do it. What they should be doing is helping their parents out and they should be having good grades and being polite. Nowadays the popular kids think its “wack” or “uncool”. When really all the things they do is eventually gonna catch up to them and make them regret ever doing the things they did.

Another example can be that when you try and follow the cool kids you're not really becoming yourself. You're just becoming another one of them. Lets say im a 14 year old girl about to start high school. If i get invited to a party and they offer me drugs there i have 3 choices. Stay with my friends and refuse. Accept and become one of their new drug buddies. Or i can decline and call a parent to come and take me home. Everyone has a choice. What most High School Students don’t think of is that people in HS think popularity is everything, when really it's nothing. You can be in a sport and become popular. There is no need for making bad choices.

Past President Lincoln was always a kind honest man and he stood up for what he believed in. Nowadays people don’t do that as much. People want to be popular, cool or a rebel. They want to do drugs to escape reality and they want to part the night away because they believe they only live once. People think if you do something that someone else thinks is cool that it's right when in reality it's only wrong. Everyone falls under the spell of society. They won't stand for what they believe in because they have nothing to believe in. People need to understand that there are wrong things and there are right choices. There is no middle. Although now are still people who fight for what they believe in they are slowly dying out. We need more people like Abe because in the future we will officially be under the influence of someone else's mind. Someone who manipulates us and shows us that all these bad choices we make will soon pay off. NEwsflash they won’t they only come to bit u in the butt.

It is correct that many people do cheat. Many think that it's okay if no one knows because they don't think of any repercussions. Some people think if i get away with this then it will be like i actually didn't cheat. Those types of people are not only cheating but lying. To themselves and others. For example, if i am taking a test i didn't study for and i'm panicked i rather take a re-test then copy of the person next to me. The reasons behind that are because what if they get it wrong, what if i get caught, what if their copying off of someone else. The repercussions could be that of expulsion, name calling, detention, suspension, community service etc. Although you can always be honest. Another example is , if you're playing a sport and making so much fouls that aren't called for and get away with it. The ref isn't the only one who see’s what's happening on the field. You might be known for what you did. You also made your team look bad and there are 2 choice you may have. You can go to the ref and fess up or you can win the game and still cheat everyone out for what they worked for.

This quote doesn't have to mean someone will take care of you. This quote is meaning to say that no matter what if you are a good person and do the right things almost nothing can go wrong. Not only will people like you but they will admire you. Although some people might say they don't like goody goodies, you can always kill them with kindness. Sometime's people don't always make the right choices and those choices can hurt others. If you hurt others you maybe won't be liked as much. If you live the right way and do the right thing others will notice. You will be admired. Last but not least people will always be on your side because if they know you , the real you then they know you're a good person. The best thing about being a good person is that you might never have to have confrontation with someone. Although there is always that one person trying to start fight, but since your a good person someone will always help you get out of that situation.

This quote is meaning to tell us that if we are good people not only might we live a long happy life but that its only fair to do so.

For example, lets say your a young adult in college. Many college guys don't act like adults till they need to do something for themselves. Like pay their dues or pay bills of some kind. A lot take there parents for granted and sadly a lot of them almost never grow up. Even after they have kids they might go out every other day. This kind of person used to drink and smoke with his friends because it got them loose and stress free. Now they cant get away from that life. Being a party person is kind of like an addiction for some people. At first its just 1 party, then its tolerance, dependence and finally addiction. Not only does this person hurt themselves and their body but they also hurt there loved ones. Now their kids/girlfriend/wife/parents are worried and since he has already damaged his body from making bad choices he doesn't really care.

Now there is another type of person. A girl. Someone who study's, has 2 jobs to help out her family and pay off college tuition. Now she likes being social but never goes to huge parties because she knows the dangers. This type of person is smart and knows what shes doing. Person A had no clue and became a bad person while person B is getting her life together and deserves all the happiness she gets.

     There are not that many things that i enjoyed about this class. Mainly because i do not like computers. A thing that i have learned in this class is that computers are very resourceful. I didn't know how to use my email or even send a email before i came to this class. I may not like it but it comes in handy. Electronics have come a long way and it looks like they will be here for a while. 

     Another thing that i liked about this class is how easy it is. If you stay focused and do your work you are guaranteed a "A". Plus the Student Success Statements. I love quotes period and i find it extremely easy to respond to them. Although i do suggest that you might wanna put people we know. I understand that you pick people who preach and what not but most of us have no clue who they are and some honestly have no interest. It would be nice to have quotes from novels like "The Fault in Our Stars" or even " The Hunger Games". Something that we are familiar with and can relate more to. Some of us have a hard time responding to the quote you give us and some can't relate at all, and that jeopardizes our grade. 

     3.Yes, I did do my best in this class. I will admit i had days were all i wanted to do or all i did was play. In spit of that i have put in my full 110% because i like to strive in class not just barley pass.

     4.I will be a CTR person most of the time. Sometimes i can not help it and let my anger get the best of me but it never goes to extreme measures. The reason i will be a CTR person most of the time and not all is because just people might think its the right thing to do because there might be more benefits doesn't mean that its what should be done. I get all my obedient lessons from Cinderella

          This quote is meaning to tell us that for those who choose the wrong choices they will always live in constant fear. The reason being constant because have bad choices always comes consequences its inevitable. Those people don't always know what the consequence is though. It might be from a punishment or confiscation to jail or prison time. It will always depend on what the wrong choice you made. For example. Lets say I'm a 21 yr old female who is in college. I have a perfect life a good family, education and job. I also have the world best boyfriend. Despite him being great i still want more so i cheat on him and he finds out. Not only will i loose both guys but ill also add a bad reputation to my name. There will always be consequence's for those who do not make the right decisions.

          Although for the people who make the right choices, that's a differnt conversation. For the people who make good choices they will never have to worry about something for themselves. They will know what to do, when to do it and how to do it. No matter what "it" is. They will never need to worry about there parents being mad or having to worry about what they are gonna do once someone finds out the truth.

     This quote shows us all a mini lesson. These 3 questions stand for how you should be and your answer stands for who and how you are. The reason this stands for how you should be is because if people trust you then you'll have more opportunities, if you are committed then even if you fail you'll try again and if you treat people well then you have a chance to have it all. The reason you want people to trust you is because if more people trust you, then the faith they have in you will also rub off on you. That way you can also have more faith in yourself. The reason you want to be committed is because then you'll never give up and keep pushing yourself till you make your goal. Finally the reason you should treat people kind is because if you treat them in a rude manner most likely they will do the same and your name will become rotten.

     If your answer to these are "YES" then you have a shot to never fail, and even when you do never give up. When people fail its never a sign they should stop trying its a sign that they should try harder. For example, it will always rain its inevitable. Yet, always after the rain come a rainbow.

         I believe that JFK is meaning to say if you are healthy and strong then you can do almost anything. When your healthy and strong you have way more energy because your endorphin's run all day. When you have a lot of energy then you get more work and studying done.

        If being health and physically fit means getting to have more energy then you should of course stay fit. Not even just to have energy but also to live a longer life because you only have one. JFK hit the jackpot buy giving us the key. As long as we are still alive we should spend it everyday using all of our energy and getting what needs to be done done.

      When people Study most of us get exhausted afterwards. That is perfectly fine. You accomplish much more than just exhausting. You accomplish becoming more intelligent every moment. Intelligence can get you very far in life, it always has and will.

  In Joseph B. Wirthlin's eyes the essence of greatness is kindness. I believe that he believe is is kindness for many reasons. No one that is successful is rude or have no manners. They are all elegant and kind. If they we're rude and obnoxious then they wouldn't be so great. There are many forms of greatness. In my words greatness if another word for being a legend. Take a Super Hero for example. A Super Hero cares for people and puts his life out on the line not because he is cold hearted or forced to but because he is kind and generous.



   No one that is great or a legend is rude or mean. Greatness does not come to those who don't deserve it. You must always work to be great. Kindness is the key because then you have your people on your side. No one ever likes the Super Villain in movies. They either root for him to die, for him to self destruct himself, or in most cases for the Super Hero to win the battle.

           I believe this Quote is trying to inspire us into doing the right thing. I believe Marcus wants us to make the right choices because so many people have made bad choices. I also believe he wants us to be honest at all time.

          Honesty is the key to many things. For example, If you steal or or lie is that being honest? No. When you lie you not only lie to another but you lie to yourself. In some cases a person might lie so much and so good that they start to believe their own lies. If I we're to lie to my parent and get caught i could lose so much. Many people could lose so much. If you lie to your boss, you can lose you job. If you lie to your doctor you might lose your life. And If you lie to your family you might not have anything left.

          Its all about being a good person. Someone who is nice to others. Some people can't lie at all because they know better and for others that all they do. If you don't do the right think and spread words that aren't true you'll be left with nothing. Especially if the lie is so big its unforgivable. In that case you can no chance to redeem yourself.

This statement implies that if you make the right choices you will have integrity. Integrity means to be honest or have honor. Honor in this case means being strong minded and sticking to your gut feelings no matter what. For example, If you have friends are bad influences your gut will tell you to stop hanging around them, but for some reason you might not. They might do drugs, get arrested, drink alcohol and have many STD's from one night stands . Although they do all these bad things there the "cool kids" and if you stop hanging out with them you have no chance at being popular. Its peer pressure that makes you hang with them. You know u shouldn't because your gut tells you not to and when you go against your gut instinct you will choose the wrong choice. 

Many people hang out with the wrong crowds at first. As soon as you finally realize you are hanging with the wrong crowd you'll regret many things. Maybe it could be what you've said maybe it could be something that you did. As long as you face your problems you still have a chance to get back on track. Just don't realize it till its to late because then you'll just live you're life in regret.

This Statement is telling us that we must choose who to be around very carefully. If we choose the wrong people most likely they will bring us down. Although, if we choose the right people you both can strive for success. For example, If i hang out with people who do drugs get into fights and get thrown into jail i will be down at their level. If i hang out with those people i will be going so low that i might even join them in doing the dumb things they do. Although if i hang out with the good kids who do there work, motivate others and are willing to help me reach my goals its a win win. The reason its a win win is because not only will i reach my goals but i would of course love to return the favor. I would help the person who helps me but none of that would happen if i choose the wrong friends.


I believe this statement is also trying to tell us to use our time wisely. I don't want to be the type of person who has any-type of regret or remorse. I want to be the person who has fun while doing the right thing at the time time. Being a teenager is one of the hardest things in life right next to moving out and getting a job. Not only are there pressures but there are temptations and everything else that is bad. We are still trying to figure out who we are and its hard to be a good person if your surround by bad people.

Although, if u have a good name and a good reputation more people will be around you more successful people. Having a good name means that your a CTR  person. Not only does it mean you choose the right it also means that your more successful. People who are successful tend to be great in life. When a person is great in life they have way more opportunities than others who choose the wrong. CEO's of corporations want a CTR person not a CTW person.
