No I would not like to be one because i don’t think i can provide very good emotional support. Another reason is i can't see blood or needles without running away or wanting to pass out or maybe even throw up.

I could consider the possibility of being a Mental Health Counselor. They help people in a way that others may not be able to.

Duties and Responsibilities: A surgeon is a specialist in surgery.  Surgery is a broad category of invasive medical treatment that involves the cutting of a body, either that of a human or another animal.

Education:Complete at least 4 years of undergraduate school, 4 years of medical school, and, depending on their specialty, 3 to 7 years in internship and residency programs.

Demand for this particular career:Employment of physicians and surgeons is projected to grow 14 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not? I don’t think i could ever become a surgeon even though i do admire them. I don’t have steady hands, i hate seeing blood and i can’t have the thought of cutting someone open in my mind haunt me at night.

Demand: for this profession: Everyone will always need someone to talk to for help. Especially if that person feels like no one is there.

I've been thinking about becoming a psychiatrist for a while now. I like the idea of trying to help someone out with something they had no idea was so big.

Physical Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:Physical therapists typically create plans that involve stretching, strength training, exercises and physical manipulation to help people recover. They are experts at what the body can do, and will educate patients and families about what is possible, and keep patients motivated during ongoing therapy.

Demand for this profession: Yes there is Demand for this medical career pathways. There will be people who need the help that they can get from a PT (physical therapist).

I would not mind becoming a Physical Therapist. It pays good money, i have the chance to help others and motivate them. I get to be the person who says even though they have a disability or are severely hurt, doesn't mean you have to do less or think you're below someone else who is perfectly healthy.

Nursing Home Administrator

Nursing home administrators work to supervise clinical and administrative affairs of nursing homes and related facilities. Typical duties of nursing home administrators include overseeing staff and personnel, financial matters, medical care, medical supplies, facilities, and other .

Eduactaion:Being a nursing home administrator requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in healthcare administration. However, most nursing home administrators have master's degrees in long-term care administration, health services administration, public health or business administration.

  I don't think i would want to be in this medical carrer pathway. The reason for that is because i don't really have patients and it would kill me to get mad or fustrated with someone fragile.

Reflection: Do you think you would like to be one? Why? Why not? 

    I think that being a Neonatologist isn't such a bad idea because then i would get to work with babies and their Mother. The down side to this profession is when a baby does not make it i will be the one who has to tell the family and it would be truly heartbreaking.

Oncologist

 I would consider being an oncologist because not only will I be able to work in the hospital but I might even cure a cancer patient. The down side to being a oncologist is that you will have to deliver the bad news and if treatments don’t work, sometimes you must send them home.
